Albert Langston Barbe, 76, of Lufkin, Texas passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, October 13, 2021. He was born on August 12, 1945, to Raleigh and Mary Barbe. Albert was one of eight children. He was a retired carpenter and a direct descendent of Antonio Gil Y’Barbo who was a pioneering settler of Nacogdoches. He loved watching westerns on tv and talking with friends and family. Survivors include his current wife, Omie Barbe; daughter, April Barbe; stepsons, Bruce Dunn, and Gary Thompson; stepdaughters, Brenda Crawford, Linda Champagne, and Kylene Hudman; other son Mike Barbe; two step-grandchildren, Kristy and Courtney; two step-great-grandchildren, Matthew, and Anna; brothers, Robert Barbe, and Roy Barbe; Sisters Judy Forse, Brenda Reynolds, and Cyndi Barbe. Family friends, Earl Luckey, Clay Cheatham, and Viviana Mendoza, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Barbe was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 33 years, Dorothy Barbe; two sisters, and an infant son.
