Kevin Stewart Roberts

Kevin Roberts, age 26, of Nacogdoches, Texas went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2019. Kevin was born January 19, 1993 to Julie Roberts and John Roberts in Pasadena, Texas. He is survived by his children Maci Roberts of Lufkin, TX and Rosaleen Roberts of Conroe, TX, Mother and step-dad Julie Roberts and Robert Costa of Lufkin, TX, brothers Jerry Roberts and Joseph Scott both of Lufkin, TX, Brian Roberts of Bowie, TX, sister and brother-in-law Sarah and Johnathan Brandt of Lufkin, TX, Jennifer Nye of Washington, grandmother Doris Merrill of Kemah, TX, uncle and aunt John and Jennifer Watson of Clear Lake, TX and cousins Cameron and Victoria Watson of Colorado and Dillon and Allison Watson of Clear Lake, TX and nephew Johnathan Brandt Jr. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Harry Thrailkill and Frank Merrill and great grandparents. Kevin enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. His passion growing up was football. He played football in junior high and high School, he played a major role in leading his team to state in high school. Kevin loved going to family reunions, playing horse shoes, washers, dominos, phase 10 and spending time with his children. When you seen Kevin he wasn’t leaving without his cowboy boots and his hat on sideways and his can of Grizzly. His favorite saying was “Always be yourself unless you can be Batman, then be Batman.” Followed by the Lord ’s Prayer. “Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our transgressions as we forgive them that trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever. Amen” A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 2:00pm at McNutt Funeral Home Chapel located at 400 S First St. Lufkin, Texas 75901. A burial will immediately follow at Gann Cemetery in Angelina County. Pallbearers: Kenneth Grimes, Briar Grimes, Johnathan Brandt, CJ Tarver, Michael Lisenby, Mitch McClendon. Honorary Pallbearer: Andrew Tucker.
