Maxine Quick Box 75, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away February 20, 2023 in Nacogdoches, Texas She was born May 28, 1947 in Hartshorn, Missouri, to parents, Lee and Mable May Stark Quick.
Maxine moved to Houston, Texas in 1964 where she met and married her husband, Charles Box on her birthday, May 28 1965. She worked at Speedflo and Stephen F. Austin College Cafeteria. Shortly after that she became a devoted housewife and full- time mother. She had 3 biological children but adopted so many others in her heart. Maxine love the Lord Jesus Christ, spending time with her family, playing farkle or spades. She enjoyed Facebook, vacations in Missouri, the occasional scratch off, casinos, fishing, flowers, shopping at the Women’s Shelter and loved cooking for her family. Maxine was for sure was the best cook in Texas. Her biscuits and gravy were always the family’s favorite and made with such love. A couple of things she didn’t like, #1 someone mistreating those that she loved and she would fight fiercely! The second thing was mornings (if you know, you KNOW!) As I sit in heaven
And watch you everyday
I try to let you know with signs
I never went away
I hear you when you’re laughing
And I watch you as you sleep
I even place my arms around you
To calm you as you weep
I see you wish the days away
Begging to have me home
So I try to send you signs
So you know your not alone
Don’t feel guilty that you have
Life that was denied to me
Heaven is truly beautiful
Just you wait and see
So live your life, laugh again
Enjoy yourself, be free
Then I know with every breath you take
You’ll be taking one for me..
