Sharon Pitts Kirkwood, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 31, 2023, in Wells, Texas surrounded by her beloved family. Born on July 19, 1958, in Lufkin, Texas, Sharon was known for her adventurous spirit, faith-filled heart, and courageous determination throughout her life.
Sharon was a proud graduate of Wells High School, where she excelled academically and formed lifelong friendships, including special friend, Theresa Goodwin.
Sharon's adventurous nature led her to explore new places and experiences, always with a sense of wonder and curiosity. Her favorite travel destinations were Alaska and any tropical beach.
Sharon's faith was a guiding force in her life, providing her with strength and comfort during difficult times. She found solace in her relationship with God. Her faith-filled spirit was evident in her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for her loved ones.
Sharon is survived by her loving family, including her daughter, Mandy Tobias; son, Eric Tobias; stepson, Jeremy Edwards and wife Lindsay; grandchildren, Zach, Whitney, Chelsie, Morgan, Jordan, Jasmine, Kaitlyn, Lindsey, and James David; step-grandchildren, Josie, Jayla, and Kamron; great grandchildren, Levi, Millie “Goose”, and Gigi “Rooster”; brother, Lee Pitts and wife Trish; sister, Ronda Glover and husband Darryl; sister, Theresa Votaw and husband David; and brother, Kent Martin and wife Janet.
Sharon's legacy will live on through her family, who will always remember her for her famous no bake chocolate and peanut butter cookies. Her courage, faith, and adventurous spirit will continue to inspire them as they navigate their own journeys through life.
In the hearts of her friends, Sharon will be remembered as a loyal and steadfast companion who was always there to lend a helping hand or offer a shoulder to lean on. Her warm smile and infectious laughter will be deeply missed, but the memories of the good times shared will be cherished forever.

We love you all and appreciate you more than you will ever know.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McNutt Funeral Home in Lufkin, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
