Ashley Miquelle Huffhines

Ashley Miquelle Huffhines was born December 4, 1986, in Brazoria County to Kelly Huffhines and Scott Morton. She passed away on February 24, 2021. Ashley was born and raised in Brazoria County until she was a freshman in high school. She then moved to Lufkin and remained here until her death. She had a 13-year-old daughter, Shaylynn Bailey, and an 18-year-old sister, Kyrsten Oliver, that she loved like a daughter. Ashley loved shopping and making memories with her family. She also loved going to San Antonio, posing for pictures, and going to the beach. She was an apartment manager for most of her adult life. Ashley is survived by a daughter, Shaylynn Bailey; mother, Kelly Huffhines; father and step-mother, Scott & Terrie Morton; sisters, Kyrsten Oliver, Ashlyn Morton, & Anna Morton; brother, Jeff Morton; aunt and uncle, Donna & George Ellis; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Sharron Carriker (NAN); sister, Kayla; great-grandmother, Murlene Davis; and grandfather, Alfred Lopez. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at McNutt Funeral Home of Lufkin. A balloon release will follow at 7:30 at Jones Park in Lufkin. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 2:00 pm at McNutt Funeral Home of Lufkin. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.
