Bessie Denae Parker

Bessie Denae Parker was born on December 30, 1981, in Lufkin, Texas to James McShan and Mary Percilla Mott. She passed away on May 14, 2021, in Lufkin, Texas. Denae was a wonderful mother who loved her son, Joshua Parker with her whole heart. She loved letting Josh tattoo her. She also absolutely loved her dog “Pretty Girl”. Denae enjoyed outdoor activities like scuba diving at Beaver Lake when living in Arkansas and fishing with her Snoopy fishing pole. April 7, 1999, will be a day the family will never forget. Denae was due with Josh the following day so everyone loaded up and spent the day fishing with her at Ratcliff Lake one last time before our daughter became a mother herself. Denae used to love for Jared to come to visit her at Catfish Hut in Jasper when they started dating. Jared once walked into his house and thought he had walked into a Barbie house. Denae told her Aunt Teresa “He must really love me because he let me keep all the pink décor.” Deane spent a lot of her time caring for her little cousin Carter. She always called him her little dude and loved teaching him to do “the face, the face”. Denae is survived by her mom, Mary Percilla Parker; dad, James Thomas McShan Jr.; son, Joshua Parker; sister, Savannah McShan; boyfriend, Jared Andrew Conn; aunts, Theresa Brown, Elsie Hamilton, Charolette Barton; uncles, Robert Lee Mott and Robert Brown Sr.; cousins, Chase & Chance Hamilton, Carter Mott, Sabrina Mott, Angela Rice, and Robert Brown Jr.; great-aunt, Polly Clifton; great-uncles, Frank Ross, and George Ross, and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Jim Parker; brother, Sky McShan; grandparents, R.E. & Ruby Mott, P.D. & Alta Parker, and James Thomas McShan Sr. & Rita McShan; cousins, Chris Mott, and Mitchell Hamilton; and uncles, Raymond & Allen Mott.
