Caroline Dawn Roberts

Caroline Dawn Roberts, 54 of Lufkin, Texas passed away on February 15, 2023 in her home. Dawn was born on November 26, 1968 in Lufkin, Texas and grew up in her hometown, surrounded by many who she dearly loved and who dearly loved her.

She graduated from Lufkin High School in the class of 87. Later she went on to graduate from SFA with honors, obtaining her master’s degree in social work.

Dawn was a mom to three boys. She was also a sister, a daughter and the best friend anyone could ask for! She spent her time with her fiancé and dedicated herself to her job as a social worker for Heart to Heart Hospice.

Dawn is preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Roberts and her grandfather, Merwin Lee Roberts, Sr.

She is survived by her sons, Stacy Ryan “Ryno” Roberts, Zak “Zacaroni” Alexander Roberts, Jonathan Tyler “Tybo” Roberts; her fiancé, Floyd Buckley; her brother, Tom Roberts and his wife Melinda, nephews, Jackson Buckley and Jeremy Foley; and her father, Merv Roberts. She also leaves behind other family members and too many friends to count!

A Celebration of Life will be held in Dawn’s honor, as opposed to traditional funeral services, on February 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM at McNutt Funeral Home, 400 S. First Street, Lufkin, Texas 75901. Pastors, Mallori and Michael Rawls officiating

Her family requests for all to join us in celebrating the life of Dawn by wearing PURPLE, her favorite color, on the day of her memorial service.

Dawn will be dearly missed and always remembered.
