Carolyn Faye Simmons

Carolyn Gardner Simmons, 64, of Huntington passed away peacefully, Monday May 15, 2023 with her loving husband and family by her side. She was born November 12, 1958 to William and Juanita Gardner and was a lifelong resident of the Rocky Hill Community.

Carolyn met the love of her life James in 1977 and they we married for 46 wonderful years. While James was on the road, Carolyn loved being a homemaker, looking after the house, their children and her beloved animals. She enjoyed spending time with all her family, organizing and hosting family events, cooking and baking. Carolyn was quick to do anything and everything for her family and would go above and beyond to make sure her house was a home.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dennis Gardner and her son, James Lynn Simmons Jr. She leaves behind her loving husband, James Lynn Simmons; Brother, Jerry Paul Gardner; daughter, Rebecca McCoy and husband John; grandchildren, Alexa, Brandon, Heather and fiancé Henry, Angela; great grandchildren, Paisley, Mateo, Bently, and a host of other family and friends to cherish in her memories.
