Charles Russell Kendall Sr.

Charles Russell Kendall Sr. of Etoile, Tx was born Winnsboro, LA on May 11, 1942, to parents Charles Kendall and Evelyn Russell Powell. He passed peacefully on July 19, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family and Catherine Ray. Charles was the owner of Kendall Radio and Electronics in Lufkin, Texas for 30 years. He attended college at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Charles loved the outdoors and traveling with his wife and dogs. Fishing and woodwork were his favorite hobbies. He enjoyed watching westerns and reading. Charles absolutely loved his dogs. We will forever cherish our memories of his laughter and storytelling. He was a loving husband, dad, brother, and friend. He loved his family with all his heart. His memory will forever be in our hearts. Charles is survived by his wife, Cheryl Kendall; son, Russell Kendall, and his wife, Heather Kendall; daughter, Kristi Kendall & son Josh; grandchildren, Brooklyn & Madison Kendall; sister-in-law, Sue Kendall; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Kendall; mother, Evelyn Russell Powell; sister, Anne Kendall; and brother, Floyd Kendall; grandson, Jacob Richardson.
