Cheryl Lee Corbett

Cheryl Lee Smith-Corbett was born October 24, 1966, in Lufkin, Texas to Byford “Buck” Smith and Shirley Youngblood. She passed away at her home in Lufkin, Texas at the age of 54 years old on August 10, 2021. Cheryl was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved crafting, collecting dolphins, peacocks, and Indian motif. Cheryl graduated from Lufkin High School in 1985. She later received her cosmetology license and worked as a cosmetologist until she became pregnant. She was a dedicated employee at both Walmart and H&R Block for many years. Cheryl was a very loving person. She loved being with her family or church family anytime she was able. Cheryl is survived by mother, Shirley Youngblood Smith Morris; stepfather, Lynnwood Morris; daughters, Tamara Tullis, Amber Nugent, and Windy Tullis; son-in-law, Joshua Nugent; grandchildren, Kyndhal, Harlie, and Josiah; siblings, Sandra Smith, Michael Smith and wife Sheri, Brian Smith and wife Brandy, Rhonda Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Byford “Buck” Smith; grandchildren, Jacob Warden, Byford “Little Buck” Grimes, David Nugent; grandparents, Clarence & Lela Youngblood, George & Ruby Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
