Cory Gen Stewart

Cory Gen Stewart born August 20, 1974, in Nacogdoches Tx, passed away with his family by his side on December 8, 2022. He grew up and lived most of his life in the East Texas area. Cory’s personality was one that always made you smile and filled a room with laughter with his jokes. He was a man of many trades and as he would say “a master of none”.

Mr. Stewart is survived by parents Gerald & Sharon Joiner Lampin and Gary & Wanda Stewart, all of Nacogdoches, TX; his daughters, Alexis (husband Jesse) Shelden and Kori Haven Stewart of Nacogdoches, TX. Step-grandmother, Dana Joiner of Douglass, TX. His sisters, Jade Lampin Williams, Naomi Stewart Dixon, Paula Stewart Williams, Theresa Stewart and Tracy Hicks Lobb; brothers, Dwain Stewart, Luke Lampin, Brian Hicks, and Chad Hicks. A very special aunt who helped him through his final days, Linda Christian and a host of grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family.

Cory was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joyce Wright and Dwain Joiner, paternal grandparents, Gabe and Hazel Stewart, stepmother, Sharon Stewart, sister, Angela Stewart and brother, Jamie Travis.

Celebrate Cory’s life by donating to any self-help organization in his honor. He never liked being the center of attention and per his wishes, there will be no services. His ashes will be spread between his family and those who loved him most.
