Donald Lee Stewart

Donald L. Stewart, a kind, generous, and thoughtful man, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2023, in Wells, Texas, following a valiant battle with end-stage Alzheimer's. He was born on December 11, 1944, in Clay City, Illinois and has resided in Rusk, Texas since 1994.

Donald was a man of humble beginnings. He carried his small-town values throughout his life, always showing kindness and thoughtfulness to those around him.

He was the beloved husband of Jeanie Stewart, a bond that spanned over three decades filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Donald is also survived by his grandsons Christopher and Michael Stewart and step sons, Charles and Scott Jenkins and several grandchildren.

He was also a dear brother to two brothers Terry and Bob Stewart and a sister, Sandy McGaha.

Donald L. Stewart's life was a testament to the power of kindness, the strength of generosity, and the importance of thoughtfulness. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on.
