Doris Jean Spinks

Doris Spinks, 70, of Newton, TX passed away Friday February 23, 2024 at her home with her loving family by her side. Doris was born July 4, 1953 in Cameron, TX to J.D. Crouch Sr. and Kathleen Davenport.

Doris Retired after many years as a CNA and mowing lawns, she was known as the lawn lady. She loved her family unconditionally and lived to spoil her grandchildren. She also loved to go fishing, drink diet dr pepper, coffee and wearing her moomoo gown.

Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Dwayne Spinks; parents, Vernon and Kathleen Davenport; biological father, J.D. Crouch; three brothers, three sisters, one nephew and her youngest son, Stacy Wayne Fredregill. She is survived by her son, Amos Fredregill and wife Mae, of Newton, TX; daughter, Tammy Price and husband Rodney, of Newton, TX; adopted sister by choice, Kathy Smith, of Newton, TX; grandchildren, Chris Fredregill and wife Hanna, of Las Vegas, NV, Jacob Fredregill and wife Baylee, of Las Vegas, NV, Johnathan Fredregill and wife Brittany, of Newton, TX, Michael Price and girlfriend, of Newton, TX, Kenny Price and wife Bryley, of San Augustine, TX; great grandchildren, James, Joey, Emma, Billy, Justin, Ella, Dean, Elena, Robert and Ezra; sisters in law, Melba Fredregill, Peggy Fredregill and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends to cherish in her memories.
