Douglas Ray Holt

Douglas Ray Holt of Rusk, TX passed away Thursday 2/6/2025 at the age of 72. Doug was born 3/8/1952 to Pettus Cleo Holt and Ella Elizabeth Garner Holt in Houston, TX.

Doug never met a stranger, or the opportunity to tell his loved ones how much he loved them. He was a retired Police Officer and loved to repair small engines or any engine put in front of him. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Judy Holt, Rusk, TX. His children Gina Stevenson, Kinder, LA, Lisa (Mark) Mallett, Iowa, LA and Douglas Allen (Dorothy) Holt, New Caney, TX. Stepson Daymion (JoAnn) Mistry, Arkansas. Grandchildren Cody Holt, Rusk, Tx, Mark Mallet Jr and Brooklyn Mallet, Iowa, LA. Sisters Dorothea Brooks, Houston, Tx and Dana (Scott) Davidson, Houston, TX. Brother Dennis (Darlyn) Holt, Porter, TX. The mother of his children Betty Holt, Kinder, LA. Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Proceeded in death by Parents Pettus Cleo Holt and Ella Elizabeth Garner Holt. Brothers James Dwight Holt and Darryl Wayne Holt. Grandson Stevie Ray Mallet.

Celebration of life will be held March 8, 2025 at 1pm at Eastside Baptist Church in Rusk, TX
