Services for Evelyn Berry will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 5th , 2022 at Memorial Baptist Church of Lufkin

Mrs. Berry was born February 20th 1960, in Zwolle, Louisiana to the late Bobby And Jo (Mathews) Dean, and died Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 while fighting an infection at the hospital. Mrs Berry had resided in Lufkin for 34 years. She enjoyed gardening, landscaping, taking care of her dogs, and always helping others. Mrs. Berry an avid builder of ponds, and landscapes, and loved music from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Survivors include, her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Stephanie Weir of Lake Jackson, Michael, Jr. and Katy Thornton of Palestine, Chris Thornton and Tyler Wenzel of San Antonio; grandchildren, Kyndzi Weir, Kamryn Weir, Damian Thornton, Kaden Thornton, Issac Thornton, Kayden Kinson, Nathan Patrick, and Kenneth Patrick; sister, brother, and sister-in-law, Bobby and Paula Dean of Lufkin, Annette Dean of Houston; her favorite dog, Dixie, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Charles Berry. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Thornton, Jr., Chris Thornton, Tyler Wenzel, Bobby Dean, Jr., Bobby Dean III, and David Weir.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2 to 3 pm, Wednesday afternoon for the services.
