Gearldean (Parrott) Rector, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born July 23, 1939 in Douglas, Texas to the late Roberta (Fitzgerald) Parrott and Fred Parrott. She is now reunited with her late husband, Craig "Teddy" Rector in heaven after sharing 67 beautiful years together on earth.
In Gearldean's younger years, she attended Delynn's Beauty School in Houston, Texas where she earned her degree in Cosmetology. She was always known and admired for her impeccable appearance. Along with her passion for beauty, she loved to write poetry, crochet, draw, and listen to music. Teddy and Gearldean both shared a passion for fast cars, they made many memories building cars together and spending late nights at the drag strip races. She deeply loved Jesus and was a devout and faithful woman who found strength, purpose, and joy in her relationship with God.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Craig "Teddy" Rector; son, Craig Steven Rector; sisters, Joyce Sessions, Doris Jean Channel, Sharon Parrott; grandsons, Joshua Steven Cherry, Christopher Steven Rector; son-in-law, Willie Cherry Sr.
Gearldean leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth for her surviving family, daughters, Brenda Mckinney and husband Kenneth; Pamela Baird and husband Arthur; grandchildren, Willie Cherry and wife Melody; Angela Lucas and fiance Joshua Parish; Brandi Dalglish and husband Paul; Kelli Roozbeh and husband Arash; Kasa Davis and husband Michael; Katelyn Laney and husband Kyle; Ashley Rector, Cody Rector and wife Maria. She had 25 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
