Jimmy Lee Putnam

Jimmy Lee Putnam, age 73 passed away on Saturday, February 16,2019 in Lufkin, Texas. He was born on September 19, 1945 in Lufkin to parents Ansel D. Putnam and Hadress Modell Seymore Putnam. Jimmy grew up and spent most of his life in Lufkin with a brief career in the US Army where he worked as a construction heavy machine operator. From there he continued his career in construction and later retiring as a security guard. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, his motorcycles and like any old country boy his wrestling. His laid back country charm will be missed. He is survived by his loving wife Sherry Putnam, brothers Billy Putnam and wife Linda, Bobby Putnam, Charles Putnam and wife Vickie, Frankie Putnam and wife Debbie, his sisters, Laverne Beasley, Minnie Dunn and Irene Huffman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ansel D. Putnam and Hadress Modell Putnam, brothers, John Putnam and Ansel Eugene Putnam, his sisters Abbie Lowe and Linda Thorton. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at McNutt Funeral Home, 400 S. First St. Lufkin, Texas 75901. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 2:00pm at McNutt Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Aldredge Cemetery in Lufkin, Texas.
