Jimmy Franklin Parkey, 77 of Lufkin, TX went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2019. He was born on August 23, 1941 in Memphis, TN to Herman and Dorothy Parkey. Jimmy was a veteran the United States Army and retired from the Lufkin school district. He is surived by wife Vada Parkey of Lufkin, TX; Son Jimmy Lee Parkey of Houston, TX; Son Mark Parkey and wife Lindsay of College Station, TX; Daughter Sherry Stockton and husband Jerry of Houston, TX; Daughter Vada Ann Lawerence and Husband Winston of Lufkin, TX; Son Gerry Henderson and wife Annette of Dillwyn, VA; Daughter Ginger Maduzia and husband Stephen of Lufkin, TX; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Services will be on Friday, March 22, 2019 starting at 10:00 am at Parkview Baptist Church, Lufkin, TX and will be officiated by Brother Gary Forrest.
