Joyce Jones, embarked on her final journey home with the Lord on February 22, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, care, and unbridled passion for life. Born on March 12, 1956, in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, Joyce's early years were marked by the nurturing love of her parents, Melvin and Gloria Jones, who preceded her in death.

Joyce's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. She attended Angleton High School and later graduated from Nashville High School, where she cultivated a spirit of perseverance and the joy of learning. In her professional life, Joyce found her true vocation as a caregiver in Home Health, a role in which she flourished. Her innate ability to care for others was not just a job, but a calling that she embraced with every fiber of her being, spreading joy and comfort to all those she cared for.

Family was the cornerstone of Joyce's world. She is survived by her cherished daughter Shannon Ogburn and her husband Keith, her beloved grandson Tyrone Davie Jr. and his wife Katie, her adored granddaughter Katrina Kay, and her precious great-grandson Bryson Davie. Each of them was a glowing ember in the hearth of her heart, and she loved and cherished them deeply. She also leaves behind many other family members whom she loved that lovingly refer to her as Gangan.

Joyce's zest for life extended beyond the walls of her home and into the embrace of nature. She found solace in the rustling leaves during her hikes, the calm of the water as she fished, and the peace of night-time fires under the moonlit sky. Her love for her plants, crafting, and cooking was only matched by the love she had for all the animals she had over the years. She had her little dog, Lovie, who was a constant source of joy and companionship.

A woman of boundless generosity, Joyce lived her life as an embodiment of kindness. She was a beacon of selflessness, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her generosity knew no bounds, and it was through giving that she found her greatest fulfillment.
