Jp Womack Jr.

J.P. Womack Jr. was born on January 20, 1948, to Jake Preston Womack and Ruth Donnell.  He passed away at his home in Huntington, Texas on May 25, 2021. J.P. worked as a class A welder at Lufkin Industries for 42.5 years. From hunting to fishing to working on old tractors you could always find him outdoors.  J.P. was married to his wife Edna Jean Womack for 34 years. They died less than a month apart. Mr. Womack is survived by his children, Paula Peavy and husband Mike Peavy of Crystal Beach, Texas, Betty Golden of Abilene, Texas, Belinda Scott of Elizabethton, Tennessee, Cheryl Polley of Sarasota, Florida, and Jessica Harvey and husband Adam Harvey of Huntington; brothers, Danny RossWomack, Timothy Womack, Rex Womack, Frank Womack, Rodger Womack; sisters, SybolBurk, Julia  Thompson, Jill Carroll, Nellie Womack, Hilda Page, and Ouida Womack;  grandchildren, David (D.L.) Cryer, Jeff Cryer, Colton Cryer, Dalton Knight, Karson Reno, Natalie Scott, Justin Scott, MaciWomack, Bo Dean Holland, Jatonna Chambliss, Jamelle Chambliss, Ashley Toutt, Addison Faith Harvey, Brittany Peavy, Shaun Peavy; and 15 great-grandchildren and one on the way.   He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Cryer Womack; son, Adam Womack; parents, Jake & Ruth Womack; and brother, Sidney Womack.
