Her adoring baby sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Billy Mosley Sr. Her cousin Jimmy Hancock, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather Herbert (Pappy) Woodcock, her loving parents Jacob and Annie Meek, her beautiful daughter Sheila Bamburg, her older sister Rita Pierce and her little brother Johnny Meek. She is also preceded by 4 precious great grandchildren, Bradley Fuller, Christopher Alexander, Taylor Davison and Hailey Hutson,

Her first job was as a carhop at Mary’s in Lufkin. From there she went to Ray’s Drive In and worked there for several years. After the birth of her daughters, she wanted to be able to stay home with them so she started babysitting in her home. She treated each of those children as is they were her own. Over the next 20+ years she kept 100s of children and some of them still called her and kept in contact. Later, she became a home healthcare provider, caring for older folks like they were family. She even made room in her own home for an elderly couple who did not want to be separated and put into a nursing home. She loved her church and wrote and sang many songs there over the years. She would go to nursing homes and sing and entertain. She loved to see their eyes light up and the smiles on their faces. She loved working in her yard and taking care of her fishpond. She loved her family and get togethers, swimming in the pool and cooking out. She was an avid crafter, and her greatest passion was crocheting. She made crocheted baby outfits that were truly amazing. She never used a pattern, so they were each unique. Every one of her grandkids went home from the hospital in an outfit she made.

Today, we say until we meet again to an amazing woman whose life was a testament to the power of love, strength of character, and the beauty of the human spirit. Her earthly journey may have come to an end, but her story will be told for generations to come. Rest in peace sweet lady, your light will never fade.
