Karen Sue Reynolds

Karen Sue Reynolds, 84 of Chireno, Texas passed away March 22, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born August 9, 1938 in Novinger, Missouri to parents, Joseph “Beaner” Blacksmith and Susan Gregory Blacksmith.


Karen graduated from Novinger High School in 1956, she met James Reynolds while he was serving as Airman First Class with The United States Air Force. They were married Christmas Eve, December 24, 1957 in Kirksville, Missouri. Karen was a vibrant energetic soul, she loved playing basketball in her younger years. While in High School, she played clarinet, she loved music and enjoyed playing piano. Karen will be remembered as a wonderful cook and an excellent housekeeper. She loved children, all children gravitated to her, she loved her children and grandchildren dearly as well as her entire family.


Karen is preceded in death by her father, Joseph “Beaner” Blacksmith and her mother, Susan Gregory Blacksmith, brother and sister-in-law, Harold J. Blacksmith and Shirley Ann Blacksmith.


She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, James Allen Reynolds, daughter, Debora Prince Reynolds, daughter and son-in-law, Terrye and Mark Mitchell, granddaughter, Amy Nissen Noles and husband Kevin, grandson; Bryan Mitchell and wife Kala, granddaughter, Tina Oswald, grandson, Joseph Oswald, great grandsons; Blake Parker and Owen Mitchell. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and a host of friends
