Kenneth Gordon Vanloh

October 23, 1960 — January 15, 2024

Kenneth (Kenny) Gordon VanLoh, 63, of Romayor, Texas, passed away on

January 15, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer.

Kenny was a proud Texan who was creative, quick witted and could debate

with almost anyone. Although a little rough around the edges, Kenny had a

kind heart, charming personality and certainly had the gift of gab. He was

also a true dog lover. He rescued many dog friends during his lifetime

including his beloved dogs, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, John Wayne, and

Hunter.

In 2003, Kenny met his soulmate and best friend, Melissa. Together they

enjoyed many adventures and demonstrated how two people can share one

umbrella and weather life’s storms together. They loved each other

immensely along with their blended and eclectic family.

Kenny was predeceased by his mother, Mary (Hall) Dunson, father, Richard

VanLoh and Paul Burrell, sister Lori VanLoh, brother Billy Burrell, stepson

Richard Mcclure and nephew Ashton Lipscomb. He is survived by and will be

missed by his devoted wife Melissa VanLoh and siblings, Lisa VanLoh Moon

(Dymka), Bliss Lipscomb (Bobby), Tommy Burrell and Sally VanLoh Beavers

(Damon). Children: Miranda VanLoh (Billy), Kenneth (KJ) VanLoh (Heidi),

Amber VanLoh (Matt) and stepchildren, Crystal Woodson (Haskell) and

Shannon Mcclure (Athena). Grandchildren: Billie, Ben, Dietrich, Piper, Oliver,

Milo, Rachel, Reece, Mary, Shannon, Ray, Elliott and Madeline along with

nieces and nephews, Ryan, Amanda, Bethy, Zoe, Camden, Kolten and

several cousins, great nieces and nephews.

Lynyrd Skynrd was one of Kenny’s favorite bands. Kenny tried to live his life

as a Simple Man and now he’s finally a Free Bird.

A celebration of Kenny’s life is currently being planned. For further
