Lowell Alan Gray, affectionately known as Alan, was born on March 26, 1961, in Houston, Texas. He passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, in Lufkin, Texas in the comfort of his home with his family.
Alan was a devoted husband to Alicia Gray for 28 years and a loving father to his children: Charlotte Gray, preceded in death, Joshua Gray, and bonus daughter, Ashley Lewis. He also cherished his granddaughters, Brittany, Breanna (who named him Hunny), Brylee, Kaylee, Makynlee, and Paisley, bringing joy to their lives with his warm smile and caring nature. He was dearly loved by many nieces and nephews, Thomas, Shawna, Ryan, Heather, Sami, Sophia, Eleena, Amerah, Robert, Sabrina,Savanna and Gerald as well as three sister in laws; Kathy, Renae, and Patti.
A skilled welder by trade, Alan dedicated his career to his craft, where his strong work ethic and attention to detail earned him the respect of his peers. Grumpy as he was, he found solace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life, particularly fishing and spending quality time with his family. His loving spirit was reflected in his favorite saying, "I love you, no I really mean it."
Alan's defining traits were his unwavering love and strength, which touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he enriched with his kindness and laughter.
