Merl Alden Ballard

Merl Alden Ballard, 89 of Kirbyville, Texas passed away November 25, 2022, in Beaumont, Texas. Merl

was born July 18, 1933, in Ti Valley Oklahoma to parents, Ruben Calvin Ballard and Jesse Mae Walker

Ballard. He served in the United States Air Force. Merl was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a Master

Electrician his whole life. Merl worked for Brown and Root 35 years and S&B Engineers and Contractors

for 16 years before retiring at age 75. The loves of his life were, taking care of his cattle and his yard. He

loved beautiful flowers.

Merl is Preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Margaret Briggs and his grandson Christian Manuel.

Survivors include: Wife, Connie Ballard, Son and Daughter-in- law, Brandy and Jana Ballard, Daughters

and Sons-in-law; Holly and Keith Goeddertz, and Amy and Joey Babineaux. Grandchildren; Kacie Stabler

and husband Aaron, Kylie Cate and husband Zack, Taylor Ramirez, Will VanPelt, Delani VanPelt and Hoss

Babineaux, sister Elizabeth Wold  and brother Don Ballard and a host of nieces and nephews.
