Micheal Brock Scuito, fondly known as Mikey, was born on April 21, 1976, in Fort Riley, Kansas, to Michele S. Scuito and Linda J. Campbell. He began his journey in a military family that saw him traverse various locations throughout his childhood, eventually calling Texas his home state. He received his education through Hudson ISD and Sac City, IA, culminating in the attainment of his GED from the State of Iowa.
Mikey devoted his professional life to the automotive and diesel mechanics industry, establishing himself as the reliable point of contact for anyone in need of assistance with vehicle troubles. He was truly a jack of all trades, known for his unwavering determination to help others. His humor and jovial nature made him the jokester of the family, forever leaving a smile on the faces of those around him.
Mike's life, though filled with challenges, showed remarkable resilience. He bravely faced adversities such as enduring injuries from his childhood and navigating the pain of losing his father at a tender age. Despite experiencing bullying during his school years, he endeavored to carve out a place in the world, sometimes making poor choices, yet relentlessly striving for personal growth. His resolve was fortified by the love and support of his mother, who served as his rock throughout his struggles.
Mikey's personality shone brightly; he was the type of person who would share his last dollar or give away the shirt off his back to lend a hand to those in need. He was often the friend people relied on in their times of trouble, demonstrating selflessness even in moments when he faced his own difficulties. It is poignantly fitting that he passed away on March 1, 2025, in Lufkin, Texas, while helping a neighbor fix their brake lights after experiencing a massive heart attack.
His hobbies reflected his love for the outdoors and family, whether it was enjoying serene days at the lake and beach, camping, or fishing. In addition, he was an ardent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, embodying the spirit of a devoted fan.
Mikey's legacy will continue through his cherished family, including his son Colton Scuito, daughter Alexzandria Scuito, and step-daughter Kiersten Mobley. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Linda Campbell, sister Michele Conner (Tommy), brothers Sando Scuito and Aaron Scuito (Mary), and numerous nephews and nieces who adored him: John Micheal Scuito, Ashton Scuito, Jarrett Hall, Samuel Scuito, Jackson Scuito, Miles Scuito, and Cameron Scuito, along with his niece Zoe Scuito. He is also survived by his aunts Louise Williams, Dorothy Parker, and Betty Green, and a host of cousins who held him dear especially his cousin Kim Stewart.
Mikey was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Mobley, and many beloved family members including his father Michele Scuito, stepfather John Campbell, grandmother Sybil Mullican, grandfather Gibson Brock Mullican, Aunts and Uncles Wilma and Ricky Moore, Irma and James Spencer, Jim Williams, and Ray Green
Mikey leaves behind a testament of love and encouragement, and it is clear that had he the chance to share more words of wisdom, he would emphasize the importance of nurturing relationships and caring for oneself, both mentally and spiritually. His children remained his proudest accomplishment, and his spirit will always be alive in the hearts of those he touched.
