Nelda Faye Alexander

Nelda Faye Alexander was born March 27, 1941, in Saron, Texas to Vestal and Nettie Cryer. She died on January 22, 2022, in Lufkin, Texas. Mrs. Alexander was a loving kindhearted woman. She enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table drinking her coffee and visiting with friends and family. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She absolutely loved having family gatherings. Nelda had an absolute heart of gold. Mrs. Alexander is survived by her husband, Sylvester Alexander; daughters, Rhonda Nelson, April Cline, and husband, Joseph; sons, Joseph Alexander and wife, Keisha, David Alexander and wife, Candice; grandchildren, Miranda Gomez and husband, Toby, Savannah Nelson, Joseph II and Daisy Alexander, Devin and Rebecca Marshall, Dustin and Elizabeth Stanley, Shada Stanley, Colby Alexander, Ava and Kaile Pate, Zack, Riley, Connor, Scarlet, Addie Mae, David Jr., Lilley, Lyla, Benjamin Alexander; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Christopher Martin, Korbin Havard, Alexis and Seth White, Ayla and Slade Hawley, Zane and Corbin Gomez, Vontae Davis, Kaylie and Harley Cole; brothers, Victor Cryer and wife, Sandra, Verlin Cryer, Rayford Gene Cryer; special friends, David Favor, AJ Stanley, and Stuart Nelson. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vestle and Nettie Cryer; sisters, Floy Griffey, Cindy Stewart; brother, VJ Cryer; daughter, Debra Lynn Silhavey; and special friend, Troy Weaver. Pallbearers included Joseph Alexander II, Dustin Stanley, Mack Weaver, Dalton Weaver, Christopher Martin, and David Alexander. Honorary pallbearers include David Alexander Jr., Zack Alexander, Riley Alexander, Connor Alexander, Korbin Havard, Seth White, Slade Hawley, Colby Alexander, and Vontae Davis.
