Nerine Saxton Dickerson

Nerine Saxton Dickerson “Granny” Nerine Saxton Dickerson 93 of Lufkin, Texas went to be with Jesus Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. Nerine was born September 2nd, 1928, in Choice, Texas, to Joseph Earnest Mangrum and Ida May Wilson Mangrum. Nerine was a member of Harborlight Church. Where she loved the Lord and worshiped Him with her musical talents of playing the piano, guitar, and singing. She loved to cook for her family and friends. Nerine loved the Lord and for her family to attend church with her. If she wasn’t with her daughter, Martha, she was reading her Bible with one of her furry companions. Nerine is proceeded in death by her parents, Joseph Earnest and Ida Mae Mangrum; sons, Robert and Ernest Haynes; brothers, Vernon, Bobby, James Allen, and Maxie Mangrum; sisters, Louise Thrailkill and Elizabeth Mangrum; and husbands, Robert Haynes, Sam Saxton, and Don Dickerson. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Owens of Lufkin; sisters: Betty McGown of Ft. Worth and Ernestine Smith of San Augustine. As well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other family and countless friends.
