Norma "Jean" Wilson

Norma “Jean” Wilson was born on March 8th 1947 and passed away September 15th 2020 at the age of 73, in her hometown of Lufkin, Texas. Jean loved spending time outdoors. Many summer days were spent at Shirley Creek making memories with her sons. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. From the lights and decorations to the Christmas themed fuzzy socks, she loved it all. Her work ethic was unrivaled. Jean was a waitress at Barnhill’s for 20 years. Any tea glass she saw half empty got filled, whether it was her customer or not. Her customers requested her on a daily basis and would wait for a table in her section. Jean’s second career was as a Phlebotomist for Lab Corp. She drove all over east Texas doing physicals and making friends. Jean never met a stranger. She was full of stories and always had tale to tell. She loved football. The Lufkin Panthers and The Aggies were her teams and she rooted for them passionately. Jean Wilson lived a full life filled with laughter and tears, loved by her family and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her father and mother, Austin and Katherine Freeman. She is survived by Son, Gregory Carrico, Son and Daughter in Law Michael and Macy Carrico, Brother and Sister in Law, Jack and Patsy Freeman, Sister and Brother in Law Joyce and Mike Bemus and Sister and Brother in Law Lois and Mike Conner. Grandchildren Zachery and Justin Carrico and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held at from 11a-Noon, on Saturday, September 19th, at McNutt Funeral Home located at 400 S 1st St, Lufkin Texas. The family welcomes you to come enjoy brunch and share stories.
