Patricia "Elaine" Spradlin was born January 30, 1939, in Ringgold, LA to James Albert and Emma Jean McMichael. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 19, 2021, at her home in Pollok, TX. She was surrounded by her loving husband and family. Elaine graduated from Gurdon High School of Gurdon Arkansas in 1956. After studying for one year at LSU, she went on to do secretarial work, which she continued to do for the majority of her life. Elaine met the love of her life in 1959 in Gurdon, AR. They were married on March 25, 1960, and were blessed with four children. Elaine was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was known to many as "MauMau". As a young girl, she accepted the Lord as her savior and spent her life modeling the love of Jesus Christ. She lived a long and joyous life taking care of her family. In her spare time, she loved to sew, craft, cook, sing in the church choir, play the piano, and love on her grandbabies. She was an active, dedicated member of Chestnut Drive Baptist Church where she also served as church secretary for many years. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, James Albert and Emma Jean McMichael, three brothers, Delane, Carl Edward, and Donald Wayne McMichael, and son Randall Spradlin. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Carroll Ray Spradlin; daughters, Patricia Sparks, Paige and husband Oscar Rabago, son Jeffrey, and wife Sara Spradlin, all of Pollok, TX.; Grandkids, Rachael Triplett, Tasha Vines, Capt. Joshua A. Spradlin, USMC, Melissa Bryant, Matthew Spradlin, Rendie Peterson, Ashley Gates, Spencer Curry, Kasey Rowe, Tony Rabago, Olivia Whisneant, Lainey Spradlin, Mia Spradlin, Matt Starling, and Shea Starling; 26 great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Chestnut Drive Baptist Church in Lufkin, TX. Visitation will start at 1:00 PM. Burial of ashes and memorial will be held on January 29, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery in Okolona Arkansas.
