Peter Earl Boone

Peter Boone, 75, of Lufkin, Texas has gone home to be with the Lord on August 21st, 2024.

Peter was born in Eastport, Maine and moved to Texas with his wife Joanie in 1981, where they crafted a great

community. As a man of many talents and abilities, Peter was dedicated to helping everyone around him. Peter

served as the official Santa Claus at Harris County Hospitals and for the Blue Santa program through the

Houston Police Department for many years. Being an avid chef, he was known for his world-class barbeque

and other creative dishes that he would frequently serve with a top hat and rose-colored glasses.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joanie Boone, along with children Tommy Boone (and

spouse Tammy), Carl Edward Boone, Samuel Boone, and Rebekah Kendrick (and spouse Jerod). He also

leaves behind 3 sisters and 2 brothers in Maine. Peter was preceded in death by brother. James Boone. and son.

David Boone.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to their home church, Heritage Baptist Church in

Lufkin, Texas
