Rickey Wayne Oliver, known affectionately as Rickey to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on the last day of the year, December 31, 2023, at the age of 63. Born on July 6, 1960 in Levelland, Texas, Rickey's life journey came to a serene end in Tyler, Texas, surrounded by the warmth of memories and the love of those who knew him best.
Rickey's early years in Levelland were filled with the sounds of country music, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life.
After the passing of his beloved wife, Sandy Oliver, Rickey found solace in the close-knit bonds of his family. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Elkhart Oaks Care Center, Christus Trinity Mother Hospital, and Hospice of East Texas Home Care Place for the love and care they provided for Rickey and the family over the past few months.
