Robert James Oncale, affectionately known as Robert, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2023, in Schulenburg, TX. He was born on November 27, 1958, in Crowley, LA, and lived a life full of love, laughter, and hard work.
Robert was a proud son, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his loving children: Kristy "Miss Piggy" and her husband Josh Barnes, Robert "Bubba" Jr and wife Brittany Oncale, Crystal "Nappy" and her husband Jimmy Tanton, Joseph "Bozo" Oncale, Johnathan "John Wayne" and his wife Kirsten Oncale, Jennifer "Jenny Mae" and her husband Eugene Pruitt, Jermey "Jeremiah" Oncale, and Jesse Oncale. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Zach, Robert III, Chelsea, Carissa, JT, Chasity, Julian, Jacob, Tatum, Brayden, Presley, Addison, Paisley, Jeremiah, Easton, and Avery Kate. His life was further enriched by his brothers, Ronnie and wife Brenda Oncale, Michael and wife LeAnn Bolan, and a multitude of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and a sister.
Robert was a dedicated family man who found joy in working side by side with his loved ones. He was the backbone of a family-owned and operated house moving and leveling company, where he spent many years working with family and friends. His work was not only his livelihood but also a passion that he enjoyed immensely. It was through this business that Robert shaped a legacy of dedication, perseverance, and love for his family.
When not at work, Robert cherished spending time with his family. He was a man who knew the importance of family and the value of time spent together. He had a knack for making everyday moments special, and his laughter and love for life will always be remembered by those who knew him. In the words of George Bernard Shaw, "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." Robert lived this quote to its fullest, creating countless unforgettable moments with his loved ones.
