Terry Glenn Smith, 61, passed away on September, 15, 2020 at home after a short illness. Terry was born on October 14, 1958 to Norman Earl Smith and Francis Jeneane Smith in Pasadena, TX. He grew up in the areas of Huntsville, TX; Deer Park, TX and Rusk, TX. He worked as a carpenter for 30 years, eight of those owning Terry Smith Construction. The past 8 years he worked as a pipefitter in the gas and oil industry. He had planned on retiring to do some traveling and spending time with family. Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking his walkarounds, camping and being with friends. Terry loved meeting people, never met a stranger, he could talk to anyone, everybody that met him loved him. He always had a positive attitude, love of life and unconditional caring for others will be his lasting legacy. He loved his daughters and grandchildren so much, the thing that bothered him the most is that so much will be missed. Survivors include his spouse of forty years, Alicia Smith, daughters, Leah McDermott (Kevin) Dawn Smith. Grandchildren, Ethan Herbert, Jacob Herbert, Jaydon Smith, Paige McDermott, Autumn McDermott, brothers, Norman Earl (Bubba) Smith (Carolyn) Smith, Claude Smith, sister, Dana Talbert (Bobby) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Sean David. A Memorial Service of Mr. Smith's family and friends will be at 11:00 am, Saturday October 3, 2020 at Peachtree Baptist Church in Jasper Texas, Gavin Bellomy will be officiating and a gathering will take place at their home.
